Grandfather challenge

I’m not exactly sure what the point would be. Maybe no point at all.

But I think it would be a good idea to train children to recognize newspapers in old movies or TV shows. You know, the extra-wide newspapers of yesteryear. The way they used to be, back when broadsheets were truly broadsheets.

As I see it, the grandfather’s role would be to exclaim, “Look, there! That guy is reading one!”

As for how you actually get a kid to watch an old TV show or movie, I don’t know. But you could do what you do in every other situation.

Ask the child’s grandmother.
