When women driving was on approval
Here's a note from Rebecca Hart in Rathdrum.
"Your recent column reminded me of something my husband has kept for more than 40 years. He cleaned out his great aunt & uncle's house in Latah and found his Aunt Annie's driver's license from 1929. She was 55 years old at the time and her husband William Keil had to co-sign, on the reverse, giving his permission for her to drive! My husband said those were the 'good old days.'"
