I don't know if you can tell but the fresh ice created thin fog.

Yesterday I suggested it was unlikely the Ice Palace at Riverfront Park would open as scheduled today.

You know, because it had been so warm.

Well, for the first time in my life, I was wrong.

The rink crew did a great job and the ice was perfectly fine.

I would have been first on, but I let a young woman named Bianca go ahead.

Though, seeing as how this is the Ice Palace's final season, I guess the real thing will be seeing who is the last one off the ice on the closing day at the end of February.

Stay tuned.
