The Slice

Farm livin’, that’s the life for me

One of my neighbors is getting chickens.

At least that's what she said in an email.

We like her. And since she was kind enough to ask what we thought about this prospect, all my instincts tell me to say "Go for it."

She said she was planning to get the quiet kind. She hinted that we will be in line for some free eggs.

But I'm wondering if anyone would urge me to entertain second thoughts about endorsing this venture.

Do you have any experience as a neighbor to chickens?

If my other neighbor's cat didn't stay inside all the time these days, I'm pretty sure that elderly feline would think this is an intriguing idea.
