I've noted GU's long-ago presence in the Big Sky Conference many times. In fact, I think I bring it up every year. Not sure why I keep doing that.

But here is the interesting thing this time. Well, at least to me.

I have a friend who went to EWU. He's pals with a guy who went to school at Montana.

Whenever Montana's sports teams achieve notable success, which is quite often, my EWU friend has a one-word summary for his pal who studied in Missoula: "Cheaters."

I'll have to call this particular season to his attention. It took place when he was a little kid.
