When people talk about Spokane and downtowns in other cities, they sometimes mention places such as Seattle or Chicago.

But are those relevant comparisons?

So let me ask you. In your travels, to what cities does it make sense to compare Spokane?

Albuquerque? Omaha? Erie? Syracuse? Dayton? Grand Rapids? Knoxville? Fresno? Colorado Springs? Hamilton? Saskatoon?

My point, in any event, is that our downtown is utterly vibrant compared to lots of other places.
