Here I am celebrating the Ice Palace's season opening with fellow skater Joanne Quinsey.

She is a pre-lunchtime regular. I'm always glad to see her.

I have known Joanne about 10 years, though I didn't ask for her name until today. Mostly we talk about the condition of the ice.

Today? "Pretty good."

"Yeah. Not bad."
