Thinking on your feet
Was looking at the baseball news and found myself thinking about a scene in "thirtysomething."
Remember that show? Started off as horrible and then turned into something interesting. I suspect most gray-haired viewers just remember the yuppie yammering. Still, I thought the workplace storylines were excellent.
Anyway, there was a scene where a father and his young son are having a conversation and the dad assures his boy that he can ask him any question and he will do his best to answer.
So the boy says, "Dad, what's 69?"
The father pauses for a moment. Then he says "That's the year the Mets won the World Series."
