Just wondering
You know how, in 1999's "Office Space," the central character -- a software drone working for a soul-sucking corporation -- winds up happy as a clam wearing a hardhat and working with a road crew?
Well, how long do you suppose that would have lasted? A week? Two months? A year?
OK, there's nothing wrong with those jobs. But even if our man did not appear to be taxing himself in his new gig, those jobs can be physically demanding, at least when you get older. Then there's seniority, erratic job schedules, a low wage ceiling and working out in all kinds of weather to consider. Among other things.
I'd give him a month.
But as they used to say on "MST3K," it's just a show. I should really just relax.
