Paul’s People, No. 53
This isn't the first time I met Ken Stout.
Several summers ago, I attended a backyard cookout at his house in Spokane Valley after he won a Slice contest.
I discovered then that my hunch was right. He's a good guy.
He has contributed more than 30 answers and other items to my column over the years. I think the first might have been this one, from Sept. 30, 1995.
"Slice answer: How is your occupation portrayed on TV or in the movies? Not too well, said Ken Stout, who sounded like a nice guy. He's a truck driver. And just once he would like to see a trucker depicted as something other than a leering, bullying, beer-bellied macho slob."
