Jennifer Roseman shared my favorite fireflies story back in 2009.

The story was from 20 years before that.

When her son was about 5, she wanted him to experience lightning bugs. So on a trip to Philadelphia, she captured some of these special insects with the idea of escorting them back to Spokane.

"I carried them on the plane in a glass jar with holes in the lid and prayed that they would make it."

They did. And her son found them to be magical.
