Empathizing with the majority of runners
Just wrote something in a column that won't appear in print for several days.
It is an observation about an unattractive behavior exhibited by a tiny minority of people training for Bloomsday. I realize few runners are guilty. But I have, nonetheless, witnessed it year after year.
I hope my friends who are runners will understand. But they would have to be in denial to not realize I'm simply telling the truth.
Anyway, as a cyclist, I know all about the dynamic of a few boneheads giving the whole group a bad name.
