The Slice

When the parents are NFL atheists

I'm told Spokane area grade schools were hotbeds of Super Bowl fever last week.

You know, jerseys wearing, Seahawks cakes and what have you. In fact, it sounds like there was a clear and present expectation that kids would take part in what amounted to a prolonged pep rally.

I will await news of the lawsuits.

Surely some parents will hear about that Super Bowl curriculum and be outraged.

I can hear it now. "I do not wish to have my child indoctrinated with this nonsense."

I mean, let's face it. It is sort of like a religion.
