Food stains on the recipe
"I couldn't resist when you asked about pages in a cookbook," wrote Diana Witherspoon. "Back in the 1960s when we were in junior high or high school, my sister Kathy and I sat down and copied our favorite recipes out of Mom's old cookbook (many of them were from her 'Victory' cookbook from during the war). I am still using most of the recipe cards, and this one always starts a conversation with the kids or grandkids. It's the easiest one to find in the recipe box because it is the most well-worn. It has been used thousands of times."
