The Slice

Feedback

Got a note from my friend Karen Mobley.

"Loved your comments about being windstorm survivors (today's Slice column). We just made a neighbors Facebook group and are upping the game on the telephone tree for our neighborhood. We're getting together for coffee at my house on the 12th and a group hello and glad we made it celebration.

"With so many long term issues to solve with holes in roofs and the fire in the house on our block, not to mention the death of one of my friends from the storm and one from cancer, we are mostly chanting the 'We're glad to be alive' chant. The most reassuring thing, I live where I have no doubt that my neighbors have my back.

"Sadly, you did not mention the unrequited love I feel for the handsome workers from Michel Power who came all the way from Oregon to save me with a new power pole and a smile."
