“Peanuts” anniversary
The strip first appeared on this date in 1950.
I read a biography of Charles Schulz a few years ago that plausibly presented the creator of "Peanuts" as a troubled individual. Some dimensions of his personality were less than appealing. But I'm still grateful for his work.
I mostly bailed on "Peanuts" long before Schulz died. But back around the time of this 1965 magazine story, Charlie Brown and Co. seemed like friends of mine. Is that how you felt?
