The Slice

The Wednesday Slice question

My neighbor's cat thinks I am losing my mind.

She didn't need to say a word. Her expression said it all.

Because of some temporary garage issues, I moved three bicycles into our small dining room right next to the back door.

When the cat came in for a snack not long after the bike relocation, she looked at them. Then she looked at me.

I had no trouble reading her mind: "Poor old guy, he's really losing it. These don't belong in here."

Anyway, here's the question.

Has a pet ever looked at you in such a way as to suggest that the animal feared you were experiencing diminished mental capacity?
