Pet peeve 

It bugs me when broadcast media types refer to any and all college athletes who have used up their NCAA eligibility as having "graduated." One doesn't necessarily imply the other.

Grooming and punctuating the week 

I'm not sure what the equivalent might be for women. But for guys who go the whole weekend without shaving, reaching for the razor on Monday morning can feel like the unofficial start of the work week. It's sort of like "OK, let's do this."
