Newly added Then and Now sliders
I have had the ability to post my Then and Now columns at Spokesman.com in the format of a "slider", where the two photos, one historic and one contemporary, are digitally placed over the top of each other and the viewer can swipe back and forth to see both photos. I have not used this format for more than a year because the slider posts do not have the option of reader comments. That may not seem like a big problem to those who like this format, but we have a much more lively discussion about old Spokane on pages that simply display both photos side by side. So recently I placed several new slider composite pages where you can revisit older columns that never made it into this format.
