Passport To Gold 2010

Ryan Bradley—2007 National Silver Medalist; Will Spokane Be His Lucky Charm?

2007 U.S. Silver Medalist, Ryan Bradley visits Spokane once again, hoping that the Lilac City will be his lucky charm. With his dynamic 2nd place finish in 2007, Ryan placed a disappointing 5th at the 2008 Nationals and 4th in 2009. However, since then, it seems he’s polishing his moves with hopes of taking the Nationals podium once again with a silver at Skate Canada and bronze at Skate America under his belt.

Born on November 17, 1983, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Ryan began skating at the age of 2 because his sister Becky, now a figure skating coach, skated, as well as his parents.

When he was just 12 years old, Ryan’s family moved to Colorado Springs so that he could train at Colorado Springs World Arena—one of the top figure skating training centers in the world—leaving behind his father’s successful medical practice of 17 years.

Coached by Tom Zakrajsek since he was five years old, Ryan had landed a double axel, triple salchow and triple toe loop by the time he was nine years old.

Ryan volunteers for the Broadmoor Skating Club and coaches at the World Arena, where he also trains. He is studying business at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. One day, he would like to go to graduate school at Kansas University.
