Washington special hunts application deadline extended after system crash
HUNTING -- Procrastinating big-game hunters in Washington are getting a second chance at entering the 2017 special hunts drawings.
The WILD licensing system experienced a system outage on Wednesday from 8:50-10:34 p.m. because of the high customer traffic from hunters who waited until the last day to apply for special deer, elk and moose hunts.
In response, the Fish and Wildlife Department has extended the deadline to submit special hunt permit applications.
Hunters have until tonight (Thursday, May 25) at 11:59 p.m. to purchase and submit special hunt permit applications.
Remember, you'll need to set up a user name and password if you haven't done so. That's a new requirement this year.
