Reports that Everest’s Hillary Step collapsed may be false

MOUNTAINEERING -- Reports that the Hillary Step had collapsed on Mount Everest apparently are false, according to a report by CNN.

The Hillary Step is the last difficult steep section climbers encounter on the ascent of Mount Everest.
