FISHING -- Calvin Nolan of Bayview landed a 34-inch long trout weighing 18.64 pounds to win the $2,500 top prize in the Rainbow Division of the 2016 Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club K&K Spring Derby.

John Jay of Spokane landed a 36-inch long lake trout weighing 18.98 pounds to win first place and $1,200 in the Mackinaw Division.

The annual derby started April 23 and ran through Sunday, May 1.
