WINTER SPORTS – The Warren Miller film Chasing Shadows, coming to the Bing Crosby Theater Friday has a segment featuring Ingrid Backstrom, who’s been tracking the slopes of Washington’s Crystal Mountain since she was mastering the wedge.

Given a stage on ESPN’s Real Women in 2013, Backstrom won the online voting contest and was named among the network’s 50 most influential action sports athletes.

She’s the real deal, winning the Powder Awards Female reader poll eight times and named the Powder Awards Female Skier of the Year five times.

Her daring runs in Chasing Shadows mark her 13th ski movie appearance, including the documentary Steep.

Friday evening shows are at 6:30 and 9:30. Tickets are $17-$20.

Chasing Shadows show goers receive vouchers good for a free night lift ticket to Mt. Spokane; 2-for-1 lift tickets from Big White Ski Resort and Sun Peaks Resort; a free lift ticket from Steamboat and a discount from REI.
