Wooten Wildlife Area open for hunting despite fire
HUNTING -- Although a wildfire blazed through portions of the W.T. Wooten Wildlife Area near the Tucannon River in August, the popular southeast Washington hunting destination and other area public lands did not completely burn.
"The areas are open for hunting seasons now underway and those opening later this fall," said Madonna Luers, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife spokeswoman.
