Boat safety class a perk at Spokane Boat Show

WATERSPORTS -- The 61st annual Spokane Boat Show, is ready to start its 2015 run --  Feb. 4-8 -- at Spokane County Fair and Expo Center. Info: (509) 991-1002, spokaneboatshow.com

A boating safety class – required for everyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1955, in order to operate a power boat in Washington – also is scheduled.

Register in advance and get free admission to the Spokane Boat Show. The eight-hour course is taught in two-hour sessions starting at 7 p.m. on Feb. 4-7.

Sign up and get materials at West Marine, 5306 E, Sprague Ave., 533-5532.

Cost, including Boat Show admission, $48 or $73 for two family members.
