Sky-high skiers to fly at Schweitzer

Former Olympians and Canadian National Freestyle Ski Team Members Jean Marc Rozon, Steve Omischl and Brad Suey will be demonstrating their Freestyle aerial skills at Schweitzer Mountain Resort,  February 24th and 25th. Both shows start at 6:15 pm and are FREE to the Public.

This elite squad of professional jumpers will be joined by 7 other members of the YOKES OUTRAGEOUS AIR team as they perform an hour long aerial extravaganza underneath the lights in the Schweitzer Village. They're jumping skills and synchronization are unmatched as they perform double and triple twisting multiple flips, spins and jumps side by side one another through fireworks and fire.

Steve Omischlhas competed in three Winter Olympic Games in the sport of Freestyle Skiing-Aerials where he represented Canada in the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics. Over Steve’s 11 year career on the Canadian National Freestyle Team he has racked up an impressive number World Cup medals, with over 40 podiums and 20 titles to his name. He has also won four overall World Cup titles, finishing atop the aerials standings in 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Steve’s illustrious career also earned him 4 World Championship medals including a Gold Medal in 2005 and Silver Medal in 2009.

Jean Marc Rozon is an Olympic Freestyle Gold Medalist, World Cup World Champion and a former member of the Canadian National Freestyle ski team. Rozon is one of the original team members of the highly coveted “Quebec Airforce”. Since retiring from competition Jean Marc has coached 4 time Olympian and 4 time World Champion Nico Fontaine. Rozon currently lives in Sherbrooke, Quebec and he was inducted into the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame.  http://www.skimuseum.ca/biodata.php?lang=en&id=115

Brad Suey was a six year member of the Canadian National Freestyle Team and has been a professional freestyle ski aerialist for over 17 years. Brad has traveled the globe performing in aerial shows and his most recent honor was Chief of Course for the Vancouver Olympic Freestyle Jump Venue at Cypress Mountain. His coveted title consisted of heading up the construction and daily maintenance of the Olympic site. Brad is known for his twisting double and triple back flips. One of his ski show career highlights was performing alongside Sheryl Crow during the Jeep World Outside Festival tour.

This will be one dynamic weekend at Schweitzer Mountain Resort. The hour long aerial show is presented by Yokes Fresh Market, Schweitzer Mountain Resort, Rock 94.5, Knudtsen Chevrolet and MONSTER Energy drinks. The starts at 6:15 pm each night with the ChevroletTorchlight Parade presented by Knudtsen Chevrolet and Taylor & Sons officially kicking off the jump show.

Meet the performers after the show each night in TAP's for autographs and dancing. On Friday night it's the Mustache Bash then on Saturday Night it isThe Curse of LaNina Pirate Costume Party.

The show includes fireworks and is located in the center of the Schweitzer Mountain Village. Coupled with outdoor music, Snow Bar, several firepits, and food sampling tents by Mission Foods, Snyders Pretzels, Blue Bunny Ice Cream, Monster Energy Drink, Tims Cascade Crunch and Alpine Haus. This event is sure to make for one exciting weekend at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.
