ARCA West Ignite Racing Fuels Series Heads To Vernon For Season Opener

The ARCA West Ignite Late Model Series opens its 2010 season on Saturday in Vernon, BC. Racing in the event will be some of Western Canada's top late model drivers including 1999 NASCAR Northwest Tour champion Pete Harding. Also in the mix will be 1995 Montana 200 and past Montana Raceway Park late model title holder, Mark Owens.

VERNON, BC (April 27, 2010)-The ARCA West Ignite Late Model Series rolls into MotoPlex Speedway and Event Park located just outside of Vernon with a wide-open battle ready to take shape for the 2010 championship.

 

 

Defending series champion Brian Johnson Jr. has moved onto the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series paving the way for a new champion this season that may come from the likes of Roy Wigley (3rd in 2009 drivers standings), John Teppin (4th), Bob Delorme (5th), Dean Craig (6th) and Jim White (7th).

 

 

Joining the mix will be the 1999 NASCAR Northwest Tour champion, Pete Harding and his son Shane, a multi-time late model champion at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Wash. Other drivers expected include Trevor Emmond and former Montana Raceway Park late model champion  and 1995 Montana 200 title holder, Mark Owens.

 

 

Teams will only have nearly two hours of practice to dial their cars in before the 6 p.m. qualifying session. The Lordco Auto Parts 125 is set to take the green flag at 9 p.m.
