KALISPELL, Mont. (June 11, 2009)-Officials with Montana Raceway Park have posted the 19th Annual Coors Light Montana 200 entry form and information on the facilities website. The deadline for entry is fast approaching with car numbers and pits stalls assigned based on the date an entry is received.

The 2009 version of the Montana 200 promises to be the biggest yet with a winner’s payout of $12,000 guaranteed with several bonus awards available to the race’s victor.

Gary Lewis will be back to try for his third straight Montana 200 victory but standing in his way will be last year’s runner-up and winner of two consecutive ASA Northwest Late Model Tour races–Mike Longton.

Also in the mix will be Brent Harris, the ASA NWLMT points leader, Montana stars Mark Owens, Alex Lessor and Bodie Morton. Other drivers expected to contend for a 200 victory include two-time Inland Northwest Super Stock Association champion, David Garber, defending ARCA West Late Model Challenge Series champion, Wes Rhodes and 2008 Montana 200 third place driver, Shelby Thompson.

The Northwest young guns will be represented with Joey Tanner, Wrango West and Dan Rhodes also planning to enter the event.

New for 2009 will be a live broadcast of the Montana 200 finale on Saturday night beginning at 9 p.m. MST. Bee Broadcasting will carry the event on ESPN Radio 1240 KSAM. Doug Pace and Paul Bartholomew will handle the play-by-play duties with Reed Tobol covering pit road.

Internet listening will be available in addition to the live broadcast.

Action for the Coors Light Montana 200 gets underway July 16 with open practice followed by the track’s annual fan fest including a BBQ dinner and live entertainment. Qualifying for the 200 begins Friday evening followed by heat racing and qualifying mains.

Saturday, July 17 sees a 40-lap consolation race with the Montana 200 to follow.
