Plenty of racing across the Inland Northwest for fans to see

While Stateline Speedway is in the midst of hosting its 10th Annual Idaho 200 weekend there is still plenty more options available to race fans from drag racing to motorcycles and Legends cars. Check out what's on tap this weekend.

If straight-line racing is more your style, then this weekend’s Spokane County Raceway 1st Annual Nitro Nationals is the place to be.

 

 

Racing gets underway today and runs through Sunday with 200 mph cars in Pro Mod headlined by Spokane’s Tim Mann, Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars including local driver, Chris Davis and jet cars Nitehawk and Warhawk on the schedule.

 

 

Tonight’s racing will be a rare event under the lights that should provide plenty of excitement for race fans of all types.

Motocross racing returns to the Extreme Motocross complex on the grounds of Spokane County’s ORV Park in Airway Heights. Saturday night’s purse offers over $25,000 with some of the country’s top riders expected into the Inland Empire to participate.

 

 

Vintage motocross racing featuring motorcycles that date back beyond 1981 is also scheduled. This weekend’s event is race No. 5 in Extreme’s Supercross Series heading towards the fall championship event.

Ephrata Raceway Park hosts the Rebel Jackson Memorial for the ASA NSRA Winged Sprint Cars. Tony Berry of Spokane will be attempting along with series regulars Matt Hein, Rick Brown and Matt Mansell. A full field of cars is expected for this traditional event. Also racing Saturday night will be Youth Hornets and Mini-Stocks.

The Wenatchee Valley Super Oval hosts the Northwest Legends, B-Modifieds, Pepsi-Cola Mini Stocks and Youth Hornets on Saturday. Qualifying is set for 6 p.m. with racing underway at 7. For more information log onto www.wvso.com

 

Montana Raceway Park holds it 5th Annual August Revolution event featuring the Rolling Thunder Big Rigs and the Canadian SuperTruck Series.
