Kennewick, WA (July 25, 2009)  Steve David in the U-1 Oh Boy! Oberto was the
beneficiary of a one lap penalty on Dave Villwock in the U-16 Miss Elam Plus in Heat
1-A, taking first place points and moving ahead of his rival in the national high
points chase.  Villwock led the heat from the start in lane one, but was penalized
for not holding his lane before the start and moved down in the standings.

David said he thought a penalty might be called on Villwock, saying, "It wasn't
intentional, Dave's a clean driver.  But when the big wall of water hit my
windshield, I knew he had bounced out in front of me."

In Heat 2-A, J MIchael Kelly drove the U-7 Graham Trucking to an easy victory from
the inside, while Nate Brown in the U-17 West Pasco Family Dental and JImmy King in
the piston powered U-3 Grandview On The Lake waged a close battle for second and
third.  Brown led King for most of the three lap heat, but King got by Brown at the
finish line to take second place points.

Racing continues Sunday with Heat 2-A scheduled for 11:30 am PDT and the final heat
scheduled for 5:15 pm.
