BOISE, IDAHO-The CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series
returned to Meridian (ID) Speedway for the second visit of the season at the
historic quarter-mile paved oval, a track where many of the competitors got
their start. Craig Bell had won countless races and several track
championships at Meridian but had always come up short in an RMCS feature.
That all changed tonight as he held off a determined Jeff Jefferson at the
stripe to record his second win of the season and first at the fabled
facility. Point leader John Dillon finished third and extended his advantage
over Jefferson to 42 points heading into the final round September 12. John
Nesmith and Dylan Caldwell rounded out the top five finishers.

John Dillon captured the Sharp Powder Coating Fast Time Award to lead all
qualifiers with Jefferson second quick followed by Bell, Jonathon Gomez, and
John Newhouse. Dillon leads the championship standings over Jefferson with
Bell moving into the third after the victory with Newhouse and Gomez
rounding out the top five.
