Dave Villwock's fast time was disallowed for a fuel restriction violation which handed the top spot to ABRA Unlimited Hydroplane Series points leader, Steve David.

When an N2 violation wiped out the fastest lap of the day for Dave Villwock in the U-16 Ellstrom Elam Plus, Steve David in the  U-1 Oh Boy! Oberto finished the qualifying session as the fastest qualifier for the first time in the 2009 ABRA season. 

David posted the fastest lap of the session at 155.215, topping Villwock's fastest legal time of 154.748.  Jeff Bernard in the U-5 forumlaboats.com was third at 152.581.
