Lisa May today announces her plan to run for the Coeur d’Alene School District 271, Zone 1, School Board Trustee, currently held by Christa Hazel. Hazel has decided not to seek re-election.

May is currently president of the District’s Long Range Planning Committee and has been influential in developing thoughtful solutions to address growth within the district. She is a founding board member of the Coeur d’Alene Education Partnership, which serves to unite and inform the community about current educational issues and advocate for excellence in public education. May is a board member of the Sorensen Magnet Elementary PTO, and she recently co-chaired the Yes! Campaign, encouraging voters to pass the 2017 M&O Levy and Construction Bond. More here.
