Here's all that was left of one of five, egg-laying chickens belonging to SR photog Jesse Tinsley after a predator struck this weekend. The predator carried off the urban chicken. Jesse laments that he had spent considerable time making sure the chickens couldn't get out. But he forgot to spend enough time ensuring that predators couldn't get in.

In a weekend editorial, Opinion Editor Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune comments that Idaho AG spokesman Todd Dvorak would still have a job if he'd flown home to Boise from Spokane instead of Lewiston. Dvorak was charged with misdemeanor pot possession when his bags were checked in Lewiston.
