CPD identifies suspect in bank robbery try

At 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Coeur d’Alene police responded to an attempted bank robbery at the Bank of America, 501 W Appleway Ave. An adult male had passed a note to a teller demanding money but fled prior to police arrival. The FBI’s North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force investigated this incident and identified the suspect as Alex Wesley Jenkins. Investigators are actively looking for Jenkins. A warrant for robbery and burglary has been issued for his arrest. Jenkins is a 35 year old white male. He is 5’8" and 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has lived in the Post Falls and Moyie Springs areas. No weapon was displayed during this incident. Anyone with information on Jenkins’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.
