So Facebook Friend Taryn Thompson launched a discussion this PM by posting a photo of a young Dolly Parton with "big hair" -- you know, that old fashion of the 1960s-70s in which girls piled hair on their heads for a prom, graduation photos or some other special occasion. Taryn said she'd never had big hair. But has put it on her bucket list. Jeanne Helstrom, long-time co-worker at the SR's Idaho bureau and another Facebook Friend, responded by posting this photo of herself with big hair (circa 1975).
