Viva la Mica forum difference

Woody McEvers (RE: Mica Grange forum): This was my first County Candidate Forum at the Mica Grange. Their approach, to how it was run was very interesting compared what we do in the City to televise a candidate forum. They set the ground rules and were very clear, if you did not comply you were asked to leave. The next biggest difference was all the questions came from the audience, a microphone was handed to the folks that wanted to ask a question, not get on a band stand. When we televise we use moderators who ask questions that are normally requested from the public in advanced to the forum. The issues in the Grange forum were mostly about the folks from the rural areas. I had never thought about the different perspective folks out in the country compared to some of us city folks. It really was an eye opener. I think sometimes I forget about the rural folks and their view of what is important.

Question: Have you been to a candidates' forum at a local grange?
