Seems Cindy has two cats with gingivitis and needs to clean their teeth. But hubby Derek sez that the bill for cleaning cat's teeth is three times that charged by dentists for us humans. Jill: Kids Should Learn To Wait

Columnist Jill Barville/SR writes of her son's habit of demanding her attention when he was growing up. He would grab her face in both hands -- and look at her eyeball-to-eyeball. She remembers being admonished by other parents for not dropping what she was doing to pay attention to him. At all times. She's not sure her critics were right.

Letter: 1st Amendment Applies Equally

Coeur d'Alene Press letter writer Duncan Koler wonders why a federal judge can rule that Idaho's ag gag law is unconstitutional in lieu of the First Amendment. Yet another federal judge is blocking the release of video documenting Planned Parenthood's harvest and sale of fetal tissue. Shouldn't the 1st Amendment apply in that instance, too?
