On Councilwoman KerriT's Facebook page, posted Wednesday: "Received a phone call this afternoon with a wonderful story about Silver Beach that's the perfect addendum to today's (Wednesday's) Main Street column. It was 82 years ago today (Wednesday) that a local couple were attending a Labor Day barbecue at Silver Beach. About 6 p.m. the woman tells her husband it's time to get to the hospital, the baby was coming! Off they go and at 10 p.m. their son Duane came into the world. What a delightful conversation with Mr. Hagadone, on the 82nd anniversary of his birth."
