2 Blocks Of 3rd Street To Be 2-Way

A two-block stretch of Third Street between Front Avenue and Lakeside Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning Monday as crews pave the road. The project is expected to last all week. By Friday afternoon, weather permitting, work will be complete. The newly paved stretch of Third Street will become a two-way street. Northbound traffic at Third and Lakeside will be directed to turn east. The project includes asphalt grinding, paving, striping and signal activation. During construction, there will be no through traffic on Sherman Avenue at Third Street. Businesses will remain open and there will be pedestrian access. There will be on-street parking available a half-block east of Second Street on Sherman and a half-block west of Fourth Street and Sherman/Keith Erickson, Coeur d'Alene Today.
