Redux: Regan’s Apology Accepted
On this day in 2013, Huckleberries Online reported that the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations accepted the apology from then trustee Brent Regan of the Coeur d'Alene School Board for a tasteless joke told in public about President Obama:
(From Feb. 15, 2013) Tony Stewart (pictured in SR file photo) tells Huckleberries that the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations is satisfied with the apology offered by Trustee Brent Regan to students, parents, administrators and constituents of the Coeur d'Alene School District. Regan has apologized on three separate occasions re: an insensitive, anti-Obama “joke” he told at a legislative forum earlier this winter. Also, Stewart said remarks by School Board Chairman Tom Hamilton and one other trustee at a recent School Board member indicated that the board took the error in judgment by Regan seriously.
