Remembering The Wilma

From OTV's Get Out! North Idaho Facebook wall: "The glorious old Wilma Theater at Sherman & 2nd, shortly before she was ravaged and razed. Two movies that stick out in my brain that I saw there as a child/adolescent were Mary Poppins and Rocky Horror Picture Show. The sweet and the psycho, I suppose. Your memories? Go!"

DFO: I saw one movie in the old Wilma Theater, while visiting Coeur d'Alene friends in the 1970s. I wish Coeur d'Alene had had the foresight (like Sandpoint with the Panida) to preserve the old theater at 2nd & Sherman. It would be a terrific venue for old movies and live theater.

Question: What memories do you have of the old Wilma Theater in downtown Coeur d'Alene?
