North Idaho College President Joe Dunlap with several Sandpoint officials and dozens of donors cutting the ribbon for the NIC at Sandpoint science lab Wednesday. About 100 people packed into the new science lab at the North Idaho College at Sandpoint Center Wednesday to honor the many donors who helped make the lab a reality. The community surpassed fundraising goals after just a few months, raising well over the $100,000 needed to retrofit the space and purchase the furnishings, equipment and technology, and supplies necessary for the science lab. The new laboratory allows students to complete an associate’s degree in Sandpoint without having to travel to NIC’s main campus in Coeur d’Alene. (Photo: NIC Press Room)
