Along The Waterfront …

I encountered a first today while picking up litter along my 3-miles walk on the waterfront -- a dead fish. It was lying near a trash can along the walk way toward the western end of the City Beach side walk. I didn't have gloves or a stick. So I left it there. The flies were busy munching and laying eggs. Elsewhere, empty cigarette boxes were the litter du jour. I picked up 5 of them, mostly Marlboro packs -- and a half consumed plastic bottle of Pepsi. I know all cigarette smokers aren't slobs. But, between the cigarettes (which I don't pick up) and discarded plastic lining and boxes, their litter makes up a significant amount of my harvest each day.

Question: Are the cigarette smokers you know careful not to litter?
