On The Waterfront — 6.28.13

A lot of cheesecake and beefcake along the waterfront today. Only a few parking spots left in the North Idaho Museum lot. The two volleyball courts at North Idaho College Beach were full and the adjacent food stand open. The volleyball court was also in play, with a pack of bare-chested young men holding court. My Walking Partner guessed that they might be Mormon missionaries b/c they had farmer's tans, the type you might get while riding bikes to homes of prospective converts. My Walking Partner & I also noticed that there were only five angst-filled youths hanging out along the seawall at the eastern entrance to City Park -- 4 bored-looking females and a male with a ball cap on sideways and a cigarette in his hand. I heard through the grapevine that the hangout place is called either "Losers' Ledge" or "Kiddies' Korner." I don't like to call anyone a loser. So Walking Partner & I opted for Loiterers Ledge (although neither of us was sold on that name either).
