Reagan Republicans Applaud Adams

Coeur d'Alene City Councilman Steve Adams received a loud ovation at the Reagan Republicans weekly luncheon today when someone mentioned his lone vote against the city's antidiscrimination ordinance earlier this month. Adams voted in the 5-1 minority that approved the controversial ordinance to extend human rights protections to gays in the area of unemployment, housing and public accommodations. Here, Adams addresses the lunch crowd. Mayoral candidate Mayor Souza is seated second from left. (Photo:Duane Rasmussen)
