On her Facebook wall, Kerri Thoreson posts: "Semper Fi Marine Cpl. Steven H. Nipp. On (this date) Feb. 8, 1969, the Post Falls High School grad ('66) gave his last full measure of devotion during his second tour of duty in Vietnam. American Legion Post 143 bears his name. Steve has been gone 44 years but his service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Steve is remembered on the black marble Killed in Action monument at the Ronald D. Rankin Veterans Memorial Plaza at the Kootenai County courthouse.
