Herb Is Diamond Cup Top Volunteer

Herb Huseland of Bayview made quite an impression on the Diamond Cup Board of Directors before he quit in frustration as public announcer Thursday, a day before the return of hydroplane racing to Lake Coeur d'Alene. Huckleberries has received an email that Director John Stone sent to Herb today, announcing that the board unanimously had picked him as the 2013 Diamond Cup Volunteer of the Year. Here's the email in its entirety: "Herb, I am sorry you have run over a speed bump … You have been a great help in this effort and in fact I have nominated you as the Volunteer of  the year for the 2013 CDA Diamond Cup and we voted last night and it was unanimous … Please contact me and I will discuss this with you tomorrow … You have been great and we need you in our organization."
