McEuen Field Momentum Continues

Coeur d'Alene spokeswoman Kristina Lyman provides these highlights of Tuesday's City Council meeting:

  • Momentum continues on McEuen: Progress continues at McEuen Park. The basketball courts are nearly complete and tennis courts will be paved next week. The concrete has been poured for the parking garage and the playground is being built.
  • BMX agreement renewed: Council renewed a three-year agreement with the BMX Association for upkeep of the track at Cherry Hill and for event preparation. Nearly a decade ago, the association provided equipment, labor and materials to build the racing track at Cherry Hill. Since then, it has been responsible for the majority of the upkeep and for event preparation. For more information about the track, visit www.cherryhillbmx.org.
  • Person Field designated parkland: Council declared Person Field as parkland and directed staff to meet with a member of the neighborhood association and begin master planning the space. Council also directed staff to work with the Boys and Girls Club to study the feasibility of a new Club on city property at Cherry Hill.
